Festival of Horsepower Another way to get the adrenaline revving is to visit during Festival of Horsepower . Every June the city celebrates with signature racing and motorsport events, including the biggest drag racing competition outside of North America, the Winternationals . The biggest regional race day in Australia – the Ipswich Cup , plus a massive weekend of racing with 2 Days of Thunder at Queensland Raceway.
