Brighton Homes Arena was confirmed as an Olympic and Paralympic Games venue in the 2032 Delivery Plan released by the Queensland Government in March 2025 and originally slated to host modern pentathlon in the Future Host Questionnaire in 2021. Located in the heart of Springfield, Brighton Homes Arena is a top-tier venue, hosting televised sport, training camps and events. It’s the home of the Brisbane Lions AFL and AFLW teams, designed to support both men and women’s professional teams equally, making it the first facility of its kind in Australia. It boasts a natural turf surface, a 50x35m indoor training field, state-of-the-art Elite Training Facility, lap and recovery pools, and advanced learning spaces for athlete development offering everything needed to train with purpose and perform at your peak. NORTH IPSWICH SPORT AND ENTERTAINMENT PRECINCT Sport : Rugby League, Rugby 7s, Soccer, Flag Capacity : 7,000 The North Ipswich Sport and Entertainment Precinct is home to the Queensland Rugby League team the Ipswich Jets and host to National Rugby League trial matches. The precinct is undergoing a $40 million transformation to become a modern, boutique rectangular stadium by the commencement of the 2028 season. The first phase of this redevelopment will feature a new western grandstand, upgraded field lighting, 2,000 grandstand spectator seats, a concourse, four changerooms and media facilities. With a high-quality natural turf surface, private training zones, hospitality facilities and optional broadcast and bump-in seating, the precinct is designed to meet the needs of elite teams seeking a focused, flexible, and professional environment in the lead-up to Brisbane 2032.

REDBANK PLAINS SKATE PARK Sport : Skateboarding, Scootering, BMX

The $3.9 million dollar skate facility in Redbank Plains is contender for one of the best skateparks in Australia. Playing host to elite and Olympic pathway events, the park features a variety of ramps, rails, ledges, stairs, quarter pipes designed by specialist skate park designer, CONVIC. Playing host to the BMD Rumble Tour, the largest skateboarding tour in the southern hemisphere, its open layout encourages flow and creativity, while the surrounding precinct offers parking and access to nearby amenities.

Hidden Vale Adventure Park (HVAP) is a world-class outdoor training and recreation destination, offering over 80km of professionally built trails across 12,000 acres of scenic bushland. Briggs Road Hockey Complex in Ipswich is a premier destination for high-performance hockey, featuring Australia’s first Poligrass Paris GT turf installation – engineered for the Paris 2024 Olympics and Los Angeles 2028. Located just minutes from the Ipswich CBD, the complex offers two international-standard synthetic fields (water-based and hybrid), four full-size grass fields, sports grade LED lighting and professional-grade amenities including change rooms, commercial kitchen, media facilities and more. The location is privately owned and therefore able to restrict access (as required) for specific team training to ensure isolation.

Brookwater Golf and Country Club is ranked as one of the best golf courses in Queensland. This award-winning 18-hole, par 72 championship course, designed by Greg Norman, features sculpted greens, natural water features, and long, narrow fairways that challenge and elevate golfers of all levels. The club includes Queensland’s best ranked grass driving range, architecturally designed clubhouse with options for casual dining, functions and events and Springfield’s newest restaurant – Butlers, ideal for team retreats and recovery sessions.

This specialist BMX sporting facility includes a covered staging area, berms, double jumps, table top, a rhythm section and Finish line. Recent upgrades include full resurfacing, clubhouse and canteen facilities. Home to the Ipswich and West Moreton BMX Club, its proven capacity to host events including the State Championships and 2025 AusCycling BMX State Racing Series (first round). The facility is not open to casual public use, ensuring privacy and consistency for professional training.

IPSWICH BASKETBALL STADIUM Sport : Basketball, Wheelchair Basketball facilities, making it a holistic destination for athlete development. The park also boasts a newly constructed $3.5 million clubhouse, enhancing the experience for players, coaches, and spectators alike. Capacity : Currently 3 full size courts including 1 show court or 2 x full size and 2 x 3/4 courts – construction of 5th court commencing late 2026. Ipswich Basketball Stadium is a multi-court facility ideal for elite team training and events. Home to over 170 teams, the venue features four polished timber courts, full canteen with kitchen, accessible amenities, and secure parking. $5 million in recent funding will see the construction of the fifth court. Planning has already commenced with a masterplan for 10 courts. Upgrades will also include enhanced seating, and improved game-day infrastructure. With all-ability access Ipswich Basketball Stadium offers a scalable, professional environment for Olympic and Paralympic preparation. Silver Jubilee Park offers a fully-lit, purpose- built, accessible outdoor basketball experience designed for both traditional 5x5 play and the fast-paced 3x3 format. With regulation backboards and hoops, clear line markings for multiple codes, and an urban, street-style atmosphere, the six hard courts provide the perfect setting for casual games, structured training, community tournaments, and elite-level preparation. Set within a vibrant 14.4-hectare recreational precinct, the venue is surrounded by strength, conditioning, rehab, and wellness

Its two-court indoor basketball stadium, sits alongside a fully equipped gym, provides a high- quality training environment – now home to the school’s Basketball Academy launched in 2023. The school’s commitment to accessibility and performance makes it a strong option for visiting teams and development programs. swimming, while full accessibility ensures every athlete can take part. Whether for training, competition, or community engagement, WestMAC provides a dynamic and welcoming environment where every athlete can thrive. Rectangular Sports Fields, Cricket, Swimming West Moreton Anglican College offers a diverse range of facilities that support excellence, inclusion and participation at every level. The expansive 38-hectare campus features indoor and outdoor courts, five sports fields with dedicated training spaces, a block cricket wicket, and a grass athletics track and field. The 25-metre, eight-lane heated pool supports both competitive and recreational Ripley Valley State Secondary College Sport : Athletics, Para Athletics, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Indoor Para Sports Ripley Valley Secondary School is emerging as a premier destination for elite sports offering international-standard athletics facilities including long jump, triple jump, discus, hammer throw cages, and a 400m grass track. Centrally located adjacent to the Ipswich CBD, UniSQ’s almost $40 million Ipswich Health Building will set a new benchmark for athlete development and performance in the region.
