Willowbank MX After a whirlwind 24 months open as Ipswich’s only motocross track, Willowbank MX has just installed a new 110 foot jump.

Trike tours So get some mates together and head on down for a dirty weekend in Ipswich, full of mud, thrills and spills. There are five professionally-designed dirt tracks to choose from, a pee-wee track, junior stadium, adult stadium and MX Track as well as a 2km natural terrain sand track. The tracks are groomed five days a week and on Wednesdays the natural terrain track is groomed to race standards, making Willowbank MX one of the best quality facilities to ride at and where you can find some of the best riders in the country. Willowbank MX also offers training for those looking to improve their skills on two wheels. The classes are available every fortnight and are available at two levels designed for those who don’t have a lot of experience in the sport.

Name? Chris Fox, V8 Race Experience winner Location? Brisbane Bayside The best bit about the V8 experience? Pretty simple really. Getting to drive a legit V8 Race car on a track! TheWorst bit? Quite a long wait once you had done the driver’s briefing until you actually got in the car. But I believe this was because it was Father’s Day, which turns out to be their most popular day (no great surprise there). Would you recommend it? Absolutely, for anyone who is a bit of a car enthusiast. Would you do it again? In a heartbeat! Insider tip? Don’t book your experience for Father’s Day, if you can avoid it, as it was very busy! What you need to do to prepare? Nothing really, assuming you can drive a car and have a licence. What to bring? Closed-in compact shoes. Bigger shoes would make it hard to drive in the compact footwell. Anything else you’d like to add? I’d recommend buying the $45 in-car video, as 6 laps is over before you know it, and if you are anything like me, you’ll want to watch the video back to make sure you got the full 6 laps! Plus, it’s a nice way to remember the experience.
