Discover Ipswich Magazine 2022

CONTENTS

Ipswich is a thriving, vibrant city where you can explore rural retreats, indulge in unexpected delights and immerse yourself in nature. It’s a place where we celebrate heritage and champion the new, where you can take in country views and cityscapes. I hope that you take the time to treat yourself and your family to some fun and adventure like a climb up Flinders Peak, a visit to The Llama Farm or a hot air balloon ride. And while you’re making memories you’ll be helping to support local tourism and hospitality businesses bounce back from a few hard years. I can’t wait to welcome you to the Ipswich I know and love. Acknowledgement of Country Ipswich, which is known traditionally in the Yagara language as Tulmur, has been home to Aboriginal people since before the beginnings of recorded European settlement. Ipswich City Council respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners as custodians of the land and waters with which we share. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging, as the keepers of their traditions, customs, cultures and stories of proud peoples.
