Marvel at architecture Step into the past at Cooneana Heritage Centre, where you’ll find a restored timber homestead and an old-school classroom complete with slate boards. Stroll through the Top of Town to spot The Old Flour Mill, Old Courthouse and 88 Limestone – once a technical college. Don’t miss St Mary’s Catholic Church at Timothy Molony Park or St Paul’s in d’Arcy Doyle Place – Queensland’s oldest Anglican church.

century life in the 1868 homestead. View photos and displays illustrating Ipswich history. See coal mining artefacts outside and in Jim Donald House. Watch our blacksmiths work in the authentic forge and explore the old schoolroom. Children can win prizes finding artefacts for our possum, Nea. Bring morning tea to enjoy in our beautiful grounds. Open 10.00 am to 2.00 pm Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, except public holidays.
