Ipswich in Spring 2022

Message from Ipswich Mayor, Teresa Harding

Welcome to the latest edition of our region’s seasonal guide for spring. It is the perfect time to put a spring in your step and get out and about to explore what is happening in the city. Ipswich is the perfect mix of old and new and Galvanized – the festival of heritage, showcases our rich past. Be transported back in timeby visiting iconic venues and historic sites and participating in open days, tours, demonstrations and workshops. The festival runs across 11 days from 1 to 11 September. Our skies will be filled with Royal Australian Air Force aircraft for the Ipswich Amberley Air Tattoo from 29 to 30 October. Council has partnered with Defence to host this spectacular event. Vintage and modern Air Force aircraft will conduct flypasts over RAAF Base Amberley and free community viewing hubs in Ipswich, Springfield and Rosewood during the two-day event. Front cover: If you love discovering something a little different and eclectic when you’re shopping, Ipswich’s Top of Town fits the bill.
