There is nowhere quite like Ipswich to enjoy springtime. Nestled as a breath of fresh air between the chilly months of winter and scorching heat of summer, there is no better time to take in all that the region has to offer. Our city comes alive each year when we celebrate our unique history as home to Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul peoples

The last time this immersive dinosaur display brought more than 28 life-like, animatronic dinosaurs to Nicholas Street Precinct, it attracted a record-breaking 50,000 attendances, delighting young and old. Of course, spring is all about getting out in the garden and discovering new ways to enjoy the benefits of reaping what you sow. Sustainable Ipswich will be back in October, providing a wide range of events and workshops designed to make living sustainably in Ipswich easier. As the days warm up, spring is also a reminder to start preparing what your entry will involve in Ipswich’s hotly contested City of Ipswich Christmas Lights Competition.
