FIVE-YEAR PLAN GUIDING IPSWICH TO BE A CITY OF OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL
The new Corporate Plan covers the next five years of achieving the Community’s Vision for 2041
Council has set out a five-year plan focused on value-for-money services for the community and responsible growth management in line with the 20-year vision. Council’s new Corporate Plan 2026-2031 reflects the city’s status as the fastest-growing in Queensland, with its population set to double to 533,000 by 2046. The five-year plan outlines council’s strategic priorities to support growth which is sequenced and sustainable. Built around four themes – Vibrant and Growing; Safe, Inclusive and Creative; Natural and Sustainable; and A Trusted and Leading Organisation – the
corporate plan provides a community focused strategic direction to prepare for and manage growth. The Corporate Plan 2026-2031 builds on the progress made to the community’s vision under council’s previous five-year plan, focused on careful management of resources and projects to deliver priorities efficiently. Progress on the plan’s targets will be reported to the community through council’s annual report each year. The Corporate Plan 2026-2031 is available at Ipswich.qld.gov.au
