During the school holidays, enjoy Nicholas Street Precinct activations, including the spectacular St Nicholas Precinct, spend time at one of our fantastic libraries, or take a splash at Tulmur Place, Bob Gamble Park or Orion Lagoon to cool off. And if you have a young person in your household with an interest in politics, nominate them for the Ipswich Youth Advisory Council. Ensuring young people have a voice in our city’s growth is critical, and I always enjoy hearing their visions for the future. Council continues to progress in creating a more sustainable, green and cleaner Ipswich. If you are out cleaning up the garden, remember, we’re a GO on Garden Organics but it is a no to food waste going into our green lidded bins. And, of course, the popular City of Ipswich Christmas Lights Competition is on again – take a drive through our suburbs to explore and enjoy our community’s spectacular Christmas lights.
