Ipswich in Summer 23-24
Georgie Carroll is a comedian, author, registered nurse and family woman born in the UK, now settled in Australia. This combination of nationalities, home life and hospital has provided a 24/7 training ground that has nurtured Georgie’s naturally funny bones. Her bluntness and charm coupled with razor-sharp wit, give her a broad-spectrum appeal that allows her to shine in any room. Prior to recording her Network 10 comedy special ‘The Gloves are Off’ Georgie had written seven solo stand up shows, each of which sold out nationally. Georgie is now a familiar face on Australian TV, appearing on Have You Been Paying Attention?, Hughesy We Have A Problem, the Oxfam Melbourne International Comedy Gala and The Project. She also made her British TV debut – reaching the finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2023. Georgie went viral with a huge stand-up clip ‘the three stages of nursing’, reaching over 7 million views and has developed a huge overseas following. In 2023 Georgie returned from her debut two month sold out UK tour. Georgie continues to tour Australia to sold out crowds – healing us all one laugh at a time. At a time when nurses have never needed to laugh harder, Nurse Georgie is the one to have them in stitches, the best kind. “Nurse Georgie Carroll is a riot that had the audience rolling in the aisles.” The Clothesline
