IPSWICH SENIORS CONCERT GROUP 2024

The Ipswich Seniors Concert Group has been presenting musicals for the Ipswich senior’s community for the past 20+ years. The group consists of volunteer singers/actors, who will present two performances for the 2024 season, with each show a 75 minute musical concert, at Ipswich Civic Centre. The Ipswich Seniors Concert Group pride themselves as ‘amateur performers with a professional approach’. Each musical is an original creation, that includes a selection of songs from days gone by, woven together with a witty and often comical script, ensuring audiences will have a wonderful time reminiscing days of yesteryear.

2024 Performance Dates Wednesday 29 May – 10.00 am and 1.00 pm Wednesday 11 December – 10.00 am and 1.00 pm

Opportunities exist for the 2024 season, for cast members and behind- the-scenes stage team. Rehearsal schedule will vary from 10 to 13 weeks, with 100 per cent attendance required for the final three weeks. Requirements:  Preferably but not exclusively live within the Ipswich City Council boundary  Must be a team player and be able to take direction  Be of suitable health, capable of acting/performing for 75 minutes on stage.

 Be over 50 years of age  Demonstrate previous history and/or interest in singing or staging
