Ipswich’s biennial StoryArts Festival returns in August! Presented by the Ipswich District Teacher-Librarian Network, the festival brings you award winning authors, illustrators, storytellers and performers from all over Australia to deliver an exciting program of literary experiences through an eight-day schools, family and adult program. This year’s family program delivers up another awe-inspiring afterschool workshop program from Monday 1 August to Thursday 4 August. LET’S GET MOOOOOVING WITH KATHRYN APEL AND RENÉE TREML Monday 1 August 4.00 pm – 5.00 pm

MIDNIGHT IN THE MUSEUM WITH RENEE TREML Tuesday 2 August 4.00 pm – 5.00 pm Children will create an authentic museum specimen worthy of the Museum of Natural History in ‘Sherlock Bones’ using air drying clay. Activities led by Megan Daley.

CREATING COMICS WITH REMY LAI Wednesday 3 August 4.00 pm – 5.00 pm Join Remy Lai in this comic making workshop, from writing your story to designing your own characters. For young illustrators aged 8+. A whole herd of hands-on activities for children aged 0-8 to have fun on the farm with the creators of ‘ The Bird in the Herd’ , Kathryn Apel and Renée Treml.
