2 DAY WOODLANDS LITERARY RETREAT Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 August Woodlands, Marburg

StoryArt’s conference style adult program is designed for teachers, teacher-librarians, librarians, emerging writers and illustrators, readers and anyone with an interest in children’s literature. It is an opportunity to be inspired and to mingle with the festival’s writers and illustrators in an informal setting. Hosted at Woodlands of Marburg, the two-day program will include panels, demonstrations, talks and social dinner.

Learn about the production processes of making the TV show Bluey. Beth has been working on Bluey since season one and is now a Lead Animator at Ludo Studio. Dave Lowe is the author of 11 children’s books and has co-written an episode of the TV show ‘Bluey’.

WOODBLOCKS AND RANGOLI FROM INDIA WITH LEE FULLARTON Monday 1 – Wednesday 3 August 4.00 pm – 5.00 pm Ipswich Community Gallery, d’Arcy Doyle Place A delightful workshop for children aged 5-11 that explores the traditional Indian Art practices of Block Printing and Rangoli. Like in Lee’s picture book Mr Chippa the Woodblock Carver of Bagru kids will create their own printed works using traditional blocks from India.
