Festival of Horsepower is a month-long program packed full of adrenaline and excitement in the City of Ipswich. Taking place in June, the annual festival includes a number of Australia’s signature racing and motorsport events.

Experience the glitz and glamour of the TAB Ipswich Cup, the raw and adrenaline fueled action of the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway, 2 Days of Thunder at Queensland Raceway and the Rotax Pro Tour held at the Ipswich Kart Club. Thurs 9 - Sun 12 June Gulf Western Oil Winternationals Australia’s largest drag racing event featuring a range of professional and sportsman brackets along with the amazing flame-throwing ‘Top Fuel Funny Cars’. The four day event presents up to 500 vehicles of competition racing, children’s rides and entertainment - fun The Rotax Pro Tour is Australia’s premier karting tour with 5 events across the eastern states of Australia. Ipswich Kart Club are thrilled to be able to host Round 3 of the Australian Tour. Sat 25 - Sun 26 June 2 Days of Thunder Queensland Raceway is bringing the thunder to Willowbank. From intense wheel-to-wheel battles on track and motorsport legends wandering the paddock, 2 Days of Thunder is not to be missed! for the whole family. Fri 17 – Sun 19 June Rotax Pro Tour

Tues 14 June TAB Ipswich Cup Barrier Draw The TAB Ipswich Cup Barrier Draw will be broadcast live on Sky Racing in 2022. Hear from racing commentators, owners, trainers and jockeys about the upcoming Ipswich Cup plus other featured races. Sat 18 June TAB Ipswich Cup Ipswich’s social event of the year. Established in 1866, the Ipswich Cup attracts over 20,000 racegoers enjoying a day of entertainment, horses, fashions and socialising. Sat 18 June Festival of Horsepower Marquee Overlooking the home straight, enjoy food, drink, tote facilities and access to the TAB Ipswich Cup after party.
