The new street patio in Ipswich Central

The installation of the street patio reflects Ipswich’s commitment to activating our city streets which encourages walking and cycling, and in turn supports our businesses and strengthens our community. The street patio will be trialled at four different locations around Ipswich Central over the next 12 months, the first location is 61 Limestone Street, outside Oikos Café. What is a street patio? A street patio is a footpath extension that takes up one carpark and creates an inviting space for people to sit and spend time together enhancing community engagement. Local artist, Alana Ferguson’s vibrant artwork that features iconic Ipswich landmarks adds to the vibrancy and appeal of the new space.
